Commitment to safety
Peterson Bros. Roofing and Construction, Inc. commitment to safety cannot be overestimated because we know that the joint cooperation of employees and management in the observation of our program, and a safety conscious attitude will ensure safe working conditions and accident free performance for everyone's benefit.
We have a comprehensive and well-documented occupational health and safety program that is in accordance with OSHA, DOT, EPA and all local agencies as well as Peterson Bros. Roofing and Construction, Inc. policies and procedures. We are a member of TCRCA (Twin Cities Roofing Contractors Association) safety program who employs a full time Safety Director that consults on all aspects of our program.
We developed our proactive program to be structured as follows:
Pre-employment Physical & Drug Testing
All employees must pass a pre-employment physical and drug test prior to starting work. We also have a random drug testing program that all employees participate in.
Job Site Specific and OSHA Safety Plans
Peterson Bros. Roofing and Construction, Inc. has been proactive in developing 'job site' specific safety plans including working with MN OSHA workplace safety consultation prior to job commencement on 'out of the ordinary' projects.
Occupational Safety & Health Program
Our occupational safety & health program was developed between TCRCA and Peterson Bros. Roofing and Construction, Inc. management. This program includes all pertinent aspects of safety as well as addressing issues and situations specific to the roofing industry. A copy is available on all job sites.
AWAIR (A Workplace Accident & Injury Reduction Program)
Our AWAIR program is reviewed on an annual basis by Peterson Bros. Roofing and Construction, Inc. management and our Safety Consultant.
Material Safety Data Sheets
We maintain a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) book that includes all materials used in our daily operations. A copy is available on all job sites.
Safety Incentive Program
Peterson Bros. Roofing and Construction, Inc. has developed and implemented an innovative safety incentive program that highlights accountability and rewards employees for working safely.
Training
We have an extensive training program and provide training in both English and Spanish to ensure that all employees have the appropriate training.

Inspections
Peterson Bros. Roofing and Construction, Inc. considers inspections critical and we maintain a regular inspection schedule that includes but is not limited to the following:
Job site safety inspections - conducted by Peterson Bros. Roofing & Construction, Inc. management and TCRCA
Trucks/Trailers - daily sight inspections/annual DOT inspections
Cranes/Forklifts - daily sight inspections/annual inspections & certification by All Test & Inspection
Personal Fall Protection equipment
